Your Vision Realized, Step by Step
From selection of your homesite to your final walk-through, Bella Country Homes strives to
ensure your vision is executed in every detail.
To help you become familiar with the various stages of a typical home build, we’ve provided
the summary below.
1.
Choose your
Homesite
Location is everything when building a home. That’s why Bella Country Homes gives you the flexibility to build on land you already own, or upon one of our available homesites in great communities across North Texas.
2.
Select your
Floor Plan
Our portfolio of homes includes a wide range of floor plans, ranging from 3000 square feet to more than 10,000 square feet. Each offers unique features and design touches that make Bella Country Homes distinct among area homebuilders.
3.
Make your
Selections
Working with your Bella Country Homes design team, you select the finishes, options and materials that will ensure your new home reflects your tastes and preferences. Any upgrades that will affect the final cost of your home are expressly outlined.
4.
Close Your Loan for
Construction
Our team can work with your chosen lender or one of our preferred lending partners to expedite the closing of your construction loan.
5.
Pre-Contruction
Meeting
Our design team meets with you to finalize any remaining details and review the project timeframe for your new home. Once you are completely comfortable with every facet of the plan, construction begins.
6.
Foundation
Work
During this phase, construction on your new home begins in earnest. Our build team sets foundation forms, installs in-slab plumbing and pours the concrete for your foundation.
Timeframe: 2 to 4 weeks
7.
Wall and Roof
Framework
After your home’s foundation concrete is cured, framework begins. Our carpenters begin framing both exterior and interior walls as well as your home’s roof.
Timeframe: 2 to 3 weeks
8.
Roofing and
Windows
Here, your home truly becomes weatherproof as we install roof decking, flashing and shingles. Below, we also begin installation of windows and tightly cover the home’s exterior walls with wind- and water-resistant synthetic sheathing.
Timeframe: 2 to 4 weeks
9.
Drywall
Preparation
Interior work commences as our professional electricians equip your home with all electrical wiring, outlets and fuse boxes. Climate control systems (HVAC and heating) and plumbing are put in. City inspectors will visit during this phase to ensure all systems are compliant with current municipal code.
Timeframe: 2 to 4 weeks
10.
Completion of
Drywall and Exterior
Following drywall preparation and insulation, your home’s interior walls are finished with your specified textures and treatments, while brick, stucco and/or stone is applied to the exterior walls.
Timeframe: 2 to 4 weeks
11.
Wood Trim and
Door Carpentry
After wall textures have been cured and set, our skilled carpenters put in all interior doors, molding and staircase railings.
Timeframe: 1 to 2 weeks
12.
Cabinetry and
Painting
As your home nears completion, all kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops are installed. Painters then get to work, priming and painting interior walls according to your selected color palettes.
Timeframe: 2 to 3 weeks
13.
Fixtures and Flooring
Installation
During the final construction phase, we put the finishing touches on your new home by placing lighting fixtures, carpeting, tile and wood flooring.
Timeframe: 1 to 2 weeks
14.
Builder
Inspection
Immediately upon completion of construction, our project management team begins a thorough, top-to-bottom inspection of your home, ensuring it meets our high standards and your exact specifications. Any issues or deviations are immediately noted and corrective actions taken.
15.
